Skip Liesegang

Skip Liesegang is Optiv + ClearShark’s Senior Director of Partnerships and Alliance. In this role, Skip is responsible for leading Optiv + ClearShark’s strategy and direction related to all of the company’s partnerships, including technology vendors, distributors, cloud service providers, business partners, and all other ecosystem partner relationships.

Over a 35-plus year career, Skip has a solid track record of delivering superior results as a successful and seasoned executive in sales, marketing, channels and distribution. He is a passionate and creative leader in building diverse, high performing organizations for vendors, solution providers and aggregators/distributors. Skip has participated in many channel advisory boards, including CrowdStrike, McAfee, SourceFire, Proofpoint, EMC, Brocade and NetApp. Skip founded the Government Channel Leadership Council in 2009, an advisory committee of public sector channel executives across technology manufacturers to address common concerns, execute channel research and define best practices for building productive channels and routes to market.

Prior to joining Optiv + ClearShark, Skip served as the Director of Channels/Distribution for the Americas at Proofpoint, Vice President of Channels/Vendor Alliances at DLT and immix Group (Arrow) and led the Public Sector channels for 17 years at Sun Microsystems. He is a frequent industry speaker, author of articles for various IT trade publications, as well as the 2013 and 2019 Computer Reseller News Channel Champion awardee. He holds a Bachelor of Science from James Madison University and a Master of Business Administration from Averett University.
